Measurement for the knee brace is at the top of knee (where the top of the knee brace would fit).  The fibers in this product have been permeated with Aqua-titanium. Aqua-titanium is water soluble titanium. The titanium permeates the entire fabric, so the effectiveness of this product will not change even after washing.
